This publication reported last month that Kaizer Chiefs Football Manager Bobby Motaung was keeping a keen eye on the talented midfielder, after travelling to Eswatini to witness his exploits during the One Nations Cup pre-season tournament. The midfielder\u2019s impressive performance caught Motaung\u2019s attention, sparking initial interest from the Soweto giants.<\/p>\n

According to sources close to Amakhosi, the latter\u2019s technical bench was keen to give the Eswatini star a chance to prove himself.<\/p>\n

According to latest developments, Manyisa\u2019s move to Kaizer Chiefs has collapsed. This follows Amakhosi\u2019s announcement of the signing of Angolan star Ignacio Miguel, who has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with the Soweto-based club. \u201cUnfortunately, both Kaizer Chiefs and Manyisa ultimately pursued the acquisition of Ignacio Miguel instead,\u201d the source said. Manyisa\u2019s international football experience had begun to blossom with his stint at FC Van in Armenia. However, his journey was cut short when a planned transfer to Highlands Park fell through due to the club\u2019s change of ownership, as it was sold to Tim Sukazi and eventually renamed TS Galaxy.<\/p>\n

Threatens<\/b><\/p>\n

The addition of Angolan midfielder Miguel to Kaizer Chiefs\u2019 roster threatens to breach the Premier Soccer League\u2019s (PSL) stipulated limit of five foreign players per team. As it stands, the club already has five international players in their ranks, namely the Burundian goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari (who joined from TS Galaxy in July), Botswana\u2019s national team captain Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Mozambican defender Edmilson, Venezuelan international Edson Castillo and DR Congo\u2019s winger Christian Sailie. According to the rules adopted in 2017, a PSL side can only have five foreign players.<\/p>\n
