Mureza Auto\u2019s upcoming electric vehicles will use local materials, making them unique in the market, Tatenda Mungofa, CEO of Mureza Auto Company, told.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur upcoming electric vehicles will be using lithium from Zimbabwe, a few other minerals from South Africa. So that already makes us unique,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mungofa also highlighted the company’s competitive pricing as a key selling point.<\/p>\n

He added that they design their vehicles by themselves, drawing from local inspiration to create a culturally relevant product with components sourced from Africa.Moreover, collaboration with international players, especially Russian manufacturers, will further boost Africa’s car manufacturing capabilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to collaborate with international players and Russian partners…it would be a good partnership to look at for Africa,\u201d Mungofa noted.<\/p>\n

Mureza is also benefiting from government incentives and special economic zones in South Africa, which are supporting the company\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe supplier development anchor that they have got in South Africa is quite critical to establishing a manufacturing business like ours,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n
