Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Nathie Dlamini, the Business Eswatini Chief Executive Officer(CEO)says employers and workers must honestly engage to avoid strike actions and other challenges facing the economy of the country.<\/b><\/p>\n

Business Eswatini and the Trade Union Congress of Swaziland(TUCOSWA) hosted a two(2) day Extra-Ordinary Job Summit at Ezulwini on Tuesday and Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The Business Eswatini CEO said the bipartite was aimed at finding possible solutions to a wide variety of issues affecting both employers and workers.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur economy is in the doldrums and compounding the problem is that a good number of businesses are experiencing challenges in the labour relations space as evidenced by sporadic strikes – some of which are illegal. It is time to have an open and honest conversation about these issues. Employers and employees need to find each other as a matter of urgency,\u201d said the CEO.<\/p>\n

Bheki Mamba, the President of the Trade Union Congress of Swaziland(TUCOSWA) said the summit gave them an opportunity to come together and engage regarding the challenges faced by workers.<\/p>\n

“We are now working together in finding solutions,when employees and employers speak in one voice to say we have a political problem that has now manifested into a economic problem,this will allow us to talk about opportunities and future threats collectively”, said the TUCOSWA President.<\/p>\n
