Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>From landing a spot as Spotify\u2019s Fresh Finds Africa artist for July, Eswatini-based artist Sarnilo has made history by being the first artist from the Kingdom of Eswatini to make it into Spotify\u2019s Best Fresh Finds Africa artist for 2024.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Spotify Fresh Finds Africa programme is a monthly initiative launched in March 2022 that selects and spotlights the best emerging independent African artists.<\/p>\n

Spotify announced the list of Best Fresh Finds Africa artists for 2024 last week. The list highlights the best new independent African artists of 2024 as selected by Spotify\u2019s editorial team.<\/p>\n

Sarnilo\u2019s most recent single, Addict which features Mzwaa, is also featured on the Best Fresh Finds Africa 2024 playlist, placed at number 18 out of 50 songs handpicked by Spotify.<\/p>\n

Sarnilo is an eclectic singer-songwriter and rapper whose music fuses R&B, Afro-Soul, Afro-Fusion, and Hip-Hop. She is best known for her captivating lyrics and versatility. With a growing fan base, she quickly becomes one of the most exciting new voices in African music today.<\/p>\n

She managed to get not only Eswatini but the rest of the world listening to her latest single Addict; a sultry RnB\/Soul collaboration with Eswatini-based artist Mzwaa, produced by Fezi Simelane.<\/p>\n

When reached for comment said, \u201cWow, I cannot believe how many people are addicted to addiction! It\u2019s been such an amazing year. I want to thank Spotify Africa for believing in me and my music. I always want my music to represent where I\u2019m from and the quality of our music. This achievement proves collaboration has power, which is why I\u2019m so grateful for Mzwaa and FEZI\u2019s contributions which hugely elevated the song.
