The event, held on February 19, 2025, was attended by government officials, World Bank representatives, and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n

Minister of Health Mduduzi Matsebula, speaking at the launch, highlighted the country\u2019s ongoing commitment to healthcare reform.<\/p>\n

He noted that Eswatini invests significantly in healthcare compared to regional peers, with progress seen in areas such as HIV\/AIDS treatment and overall health outcomes. However, challenges remain in ensuring equal access to medical services.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur nation continues to prioritize healthcare, investing significantly more per capita than many of our regional peers. This commitment has led to substantial gains, particularly in combating HIV\/AIDS and improving overall health outcomes,\u201d Matsebula stated.<\/p>\n

The Minister pointed out disparities in access to healthcare services between regions and emphasized the government\u2019s efforts to improve infrastructure and resources.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are making great strides in ensuring that every mother, regardless of location, has access to quality maternal care. Strengthening healthcare infrastructure in all regions remains a top priority,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Eswatini\u2019s partnership with the World Bank was also acknowledged, with Matsebula stating that the collaboration provides financial and technical support crucial for addressing healthcare gaps. The PFR report offers key recommendations to enhance healthcare efficiency, including:<\/p>\n

Strengthening public financial management systems<\/b> to ensure effective allocation of healthcare funds.<\/p>\n

Expanding supply chain networks<\/b> to improve the availability of essential medicines and medical supplies.<\/p>\n

Enhancing primary healthcare services<\/b> as part of the drive toward universal health coverage.<\/p>\n

Matsebula reaffirmed the government\u2019s commitment to reform, emphasizing that strategic changes would drive improvements in the healthcare sector.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur administration\u2019s Nkwe! mandate is a call to action. By working together, we aim to build a healthcare system that is more robust, efficient, and inclusive,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
