Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>King Mswati\u2019s Interpreter Sihle Dlamini\u2019s travel history suggests that he visited the People\u2019s Republic of China(PRC) several times to source some materials when building his Hotel at Eveni in the capital city-Mbabane.<\/b><\/p>\n

But Dlamini subsequently used his online platform where removed Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo was a Guest Writer and editor, to accuse some emaSwati who traveled to China of plotting to overthrow the Monarchy.<\/p>\n

Lobamba Lomdzala Member of Parliament(MP) Marwick Khumalo became one of the victims as Sihle Dlamini and Alpheous Nxumalo\u2019s online platform reported that, he travelled to China when in fact on the day of the false report, Khumalo was busy with his Inkhundla development projects.<\/p>\n

Others who were accused of traveling to China to plot against the country include Mlungisi Makhanya, the President of the People\u2019s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO), lawyer Sicelo Mngomezulu, the Chairperson of the MultiStakeholder Forum(MSF), former Senate Deputy President Ngomyayona Gamedze, the leader of Sive Siyinqaba and Swaziland Democratic Party(SWADEPA) President Barnes Dlamini.<\/p>\n

But it remains unclear if Sihle Dlamini will now travel as the Mainland China has introduced a law targeting those promoting the Taiwan Province as an independent State.<\/p>\n

The Chinese law known as \u2018Taiwanese separatists\u2019 authorizes the use of trials in absentia and even the death penalty against anyone asserting Taiwan\u2019s independence.<\/p>\n

Sihle Dlamini and other high profile people in the eSwatini Government and the Swazi political hierarchy, recognize Taiwan as an independent State hence \u201cit\u2019s becoming risky for them to travel to China\u201d.<\/p>\n

A questionnaire was sent to the King\u2019s Interpreter but he declined to comment about the matter.<\/p>\n

Other King\u2019s trusted servants who might not be able to travel to China anymore include Ludzidzini Council member Ncumbi Maziya who owns companies supplying the eSwatini Government with goods made in China.<\/p>\n

But an investigation is being conducted by this publication as some high profile figures in eSwatini are allegedly using South African companies to source goods from China after being denied visas by the Chinese Embassy in South Africa.<\/p>\n

The travel restrictions on certain individuals come after eSwatini violated the United Nations(UN) Resolution 2758 that endorsed the \u201cOne China\u201d Principle, eSwatini maintained diplomatic relations with Taiwan but continued to trade with China.<\/p>\n
