National winners from previous years are, however, not eligible to re-enter.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s awards, themed around nurturing future growth, were officially launched earlier this month at the Happy Valley Hotel in Ezulwini.<\/p>\n<p>The event marked the beginning of the 19th edition of the competition and was graced by the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Mancoba Khumalo, who applauded SEDCO and its partners for empowering local entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<p>Also in attendance were representatives from the main sponsor FNB Eswatini, supporting sponsors, key stakeholders in the MSME sector, and SEDCO as the host institution.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on behalf of SEDCO, Communications Officer Khetsiwe Mhlanga said this year\u2019s edition comes with a strong incentive, a fully branded double-cab bakkie, to inspire participation and reward business excellence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is not just a recognition initiative, it\u2019s a car competition that gives entrepreneurs a practical boost to keep moving forward,\u201d she explained. \u201cThe vehicle prize represents the journey of growth, and we\u2019re excited to see which business will drive away with it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mhlanga said SEDCO is calling on entrepreneurs across the country to take advantage of the opportunity. \u201cWhether you\u2019re a farmer, a fashion designer, or run a tech-based service, if your business is Emaswati-owned and aligns with our MSME policy, we\u2019re urging you to apply. This could be your year,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>She emphasized the importance of providing accurate business details, as supporting documents may be requested. \u201cFailure to comply may result in disqualification, and all submitted information remains confidential and property of SEDCO,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>SEDCO highlighted that the competition is backed by a strong network of sponsors, including FNB Eswatini Foundation, Inyatsi Construction, Eswatini TV, FINCORP, Tibiyo Taka Ngwane, and others.
