Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Government has congratulated the Minister of Finance, Neal Rijkenberg, on his appointment as Chair of the Bureau of the African Union Specialised Technical Committee (STC) on Finance, Monetary Affairs, Economic Planning and Integration.<\/b><\/p>\n

The STCs serve as crucial platforms within the African Union where ministers from member states come together to provide strategic guidance, harmonize policies, and accelerate Africa\u2019s journey toward deeper economic and financial integration.As Chair, Rijkenberg will lead both Ministerial and Bureau meetings of the STC, guiding high-level deliberations and ensuring Africa\u2019s unified voice is strongly represented in global economic discussions, including at the prestigious G20 Finance Track Meetings.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on his appointment, Rijkenberg emphasized his commitment to advancing the continent\u2019s economic independence.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will be pushing an agenda for African Governments to use their buying power to produce high value goods on the continent,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

This new role not only highlights the confidence the African Union places in Eswatini\u2019s leadership but also positions the Kingdom at the center of Africa\u2019s economic transformation.<\/p>\n
