{"id":79979,"date":"2025-10-23T19:00:42","date_gmt":"2025-10-23T19:00:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/eswatini\/all-news\/siteki-targets-55-vacant-land-development-with-new-brand"},"modified":"2025-10-24T09:05:45","modified_gmt":"2025-10-24T09:05:45","slug":"siteki-targets-55-vacant-land-development-with-new-brand","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/eswatini\/all-news\/siteki-targets-55-vacant-land-development-with-new-brand","title":{"rendered":"Siteki Targets 55% Vacant Land Development with New Brand"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span><b>The Siteki Town Council has set its sights on developing the 55% of land that remains vacant in the town, as part of its new branding and marketing strategy launched on Tuesday , 21 October 2025, at the council premises.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The launch, themed \u201cFrom the Place of Marriage to a Mountain-Top of Endless Possibilities,\u201d marked a new phase for Siteki\u2019s growth, with leaders saying the rebrand will attract investors and drive urban development under the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) 2024\u20132029.<\/p>\n<p>Lubombo Regional Administrator Themba Msibi, who was guest of honour, said the new brand should help expose Siteki to new investment opportunities that can transform its unused land into productive spaces.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe look forward to the positive impact this new branding will have on the town, the region, and the country,\u201d said Msibi. \u201cWe are hopeful that the launch will attract developers for the stadium and business sector to partner with the state and the town for bigger projects.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Msibi added that the launch came at the right time, as October is a month dedicated to municipalities worldwide through World Urban October, which this year runs under the theme \u201cSmart Cities for All.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mayor Bongisipho Dlamini said the rebranding was more than just a new logo,it was a statement of growth, innovation, and unity for the people of Siteki.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe branding and marketing plan is not only about the physical items we see, but about renewing the council\u2019s identity,\u201d said the Mayor. \u201cIt defines who we are, what we stand for, and where we are going. Together, let\u2019s build a stronger, brighter, and more vibrant Siteki.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Simon Zwane, said the rebranding reflects Siteki\u2019s renewed commitment to sustainable and inclusive urban growth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis rebranding is not merely about a new logo.
