The campaign aims to cut road fatalities by 50 percent before 2030, by encouraging safer behaviour among drivers, passengers and pedestrians.<\/p>\n<p>The event brought together key stakeholders, including the Royal Eswatini Police Service, Sincephetelo MVA Fund, Lidwala Insurance, Eswatini Railways, the National Road Transport Council and several biker associations. Mkhaliphi urged road users to act with caution and responsibility as the festive season approaches.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the campaign responds to a worrying increase in crashes and hit and run incidents observed in recent months. A representative of the National Commissioner of Police warned citizens about the rise in hit and run accidents and urged communities to report reckless drivers. The Ministry described the situation as serious and said joint action is needed to change behaviour on the roads.<\/p>\n<p>Planned activities during the transport month include road safety activations, church visitations, cross border joint operations and focused outreach to vulnerable groups such as pedestrians and cyclists. The initiative will also hold the Transport Awards, where the safest drivers will be recognised after a public voting process to be announced soon.<\/p>\n<p>Biker groups, including Hyena Bikers and Golden Foot, joined the campaign to help raise awareness among motorcyclists and the public. Partners said visible enforcement, public education and community collaboration are central to reducing dangerous driving and saving lives.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry said November Road Transport Month marks a new era in the transport sector, one guided by safe driving, respect for the law and shared responsibility to protect road users across the country.
