Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Zinhle Mavuso is the police officer who was allegedly shot dead in Manzini on Saturday morning.<\/b><\/p>\n

Police in eSwatini are being targeted by ground forces amid killing of civilians by Mswati\u2019s police and soldiers. It is not clear if Mavuso was killed by the ground forces as the Commander declined to comment.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo Nkhosi, I don\u2019t want to comment on this one, this one is just minor. Just wait for big news,\u201d said the female Commander of the Ground Forces.<\/p>\n

The office of the Police Spokesperson Phindile Vilakati released an online statement appealing to members of the public to assist with information regarding the shooting.<\/p>\n

\u201cManzini Police are investigating a murder case subsequent to the shooting of two on-duty police officers during the wee hours of the morning today in Manzini. This incident led to the demise of one female police officer stationed in Manzini Police. A request is made to the public for any information that will assist with an investigation into the circumstances that led to the fatal shooting and injury of our Police Officers. Any information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) can be forwarded to Manzini Regional Crime Branch Officer (RCBO) Thabo Hlophe at 7606 8570 or the Desk Officer, Mphatsi Shabangu at 7604 3738,\u201d reads the online statement released by the police.<\/p>\n
