Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The Executive Command of the Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF) has confirmed the burning of an army helicopter that was allegedly used by Defense Ministry Principal Secretary(PS) Prince Sicalo in the shooting and killing of civilians during June 2021 massacre.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Spokesperson of the Solidarity Forces confirmed the burning of the army helicopter on Sunday morning at the Matsapha airport.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can confirm that an army helicopter was successfully petrol bombed this morning(Sunday). Actually, we were targeting two helicopters but we managed to burn one,the other one did not catch the fire. We can also confirm that an operation was conducted in Manzini this weekend where police officers were shot,\u201dsaid the Spokesperson who was speaking or commenting on behalf of the highest Command of the Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF).<\/p>\n

A questionnaire was sent to Lieutenant Tengetile Khumalo, the Army Spokesperson, however, she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.<\/p>\n

Eswatini is in the midst of a political unrest after King Mswati unleashed soldiers and the police to shoot and kill dozens of civilians merely for demanding democratic reforms.<\/p>\n

Mswati arrested two pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs) in Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube while Mduduzi Magawugawu Simelane was forced into exile.<\/p>\n

On another note, the army helicopter allegedly burnt by the Solidarity Forces has been used by Mswati\u2019s solidiers in the killing of civilians amid the political unrest.<\/p>\n

It normally flew and conducted surveillance in private homes and towns during protests, searching for political activists and human rights activists targeted by King Mswati\u2019s security forces.<\/p>\n
