Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>King Mswati allegedly unleashed about two hundred police officers and soldiers to stop the official opening of a poor family\u2019s house built by the Sithobelweni Mass Democratic Movement.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Sithobelweni Movement is dominated by members of the People\u2019s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO), Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO), Communist Party and the Ngwane National Liberatory Congress(NNLC) among others.<\/p>\n

Eswatini, a tiny Kingdom situated in Southern Africa and ruled by Mswati as an absolute Monarch has about 70% of the population living below the poverty line.<\/p>\n

It has been disclosed that the official opening of the house was stopped amid fears within Mswati\u2019s regime that this charity work might promote the banned political parties among the masses.<\/p>\n

Reached for comments, Thandaza Silolo, the Spokesperson of the Swaziland Liberation Congress(SWALIMO) confirmed that the police blocked them from officially opening the house they built for the poor family of Sithobelweni.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe found them camping at the entrance of the home and they told us that we are not allowed inside. It was shocking to see such a large number of police officers waiting to block us from opening a house built for a poor family,\u201dsaid the SWALIMO Spokesperson.<\/p>\n

Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson had not responded at the time of compiling this report.<\/p>\n

Mpilo Mamba,the Sithobelweni Mass Democratic Movement Secretary General referred comments to the Deputy Secretary General.<\/p>\n
