Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>8150 Constable Sibusiso Matsebula who was based at Sigodvweni(Matsapha) Police Station is the police officer who was shot dead,allegedly, by members of the Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF).<\/b><\/p>\n

This was confirmed by the Spokesperson of the Solidarity Forces on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can confirm that a traffic police officer was shot dead at Mathangeni,Matsapha during one of our operations. He was driving a police vehicle,the passenger was shot but survived.These operations come as a result of the killing of civilians by the security forces and the arrest of pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs),\u201dsaid the Spokesperson of the Solidarity Forces.<\/p>\n

Police Spokesperson Phindile Vilakati had not responded at the time of compiling this report.<\/p>\n

Efforts to reach Matsebula\u2019s family proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.<\/p>\n

Eswatini is in the midst of a political unrest after Mswati unleashed his soldiers and the police to shoot and kill dozens of civilians merely for demanding democratic reforms.<\/p>\n
