Most clubs were using gate-collections to repay the debts but over the past two years the teams were struggling to pay because there were no fans after being banned from stadiums.<\/p>\n<p>The PLE has requested clubs to come forward and make arrangements or proposals on how they preferred to pay the outstanding debts. They have opened the door for clubs to make offers, rather than wait for the association to deduct from the packages without negotiations,\u201d said the source.<\/p>\n<p>The source further revealed that only four Premier League clubs had an arrangement with the PLE on how to repay their debts, while from the NFD only three teams had made similar arrangements.<\/p>\n<p>PLE Chief Executive Officer Kenneth Makhanya politely declined to comment on figures but confirmed that teams owed the PLE certain funds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can confirm that PLE clubs owe the organisation and they are in the process of settling the debts. All teams have pledged to pay their debts with the PLE,\u201d he said.
