His past roles include Chief Executive Officer of Insika Financial Services, Managing Director (Asset Management) at Sanlam, CEO of Fairlife Benefit Services, CEO of Metropolitan Life Swaziland, Fund Manager at African Alliance, and Project Coordinator at the Komati Basin Water Authority.<\/p>\n<p>Bheki Khumalo brings deep expertise as a Financial Intelligence specialist with over 16 years\u2019 experience in anti-money laundering (AML), countering the financing of terrorism (CFT) and financial investigations. He currently works as an independent consultant in AML and financial systems security. He previously served as Head of the Monitoring Unit at the Eswatini Financial Intelligence Unit (EFIU), AML Reporting Officer at the Central Bank of Eswatini, and Finance Officer (Policy &amp; Planning) at the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n<p>Founding Chairman Mbuso Simelane welcomed the appointments. He noted that over 90 percent of FinTech startups in Africa fail within the first two years due to the high cost of compliance and technology. Simelane added that the new board had been tasked with ensuring growth and continuity as the company seeks a permanent solution to financial inclusion for emaSwati.<\/p>\n<p>INSTACASH Managing Director Mandla \u2018Cheeks\u2019 Nxumalo expressed excitement about the appointments. He said they were thrilled to welcome seasoned professionals like Muzi Dlamini and Bheki Khumalo to the board. Nxumalo explained that their wealth of experience in leadership, governance, regulatory compliance and financial intelligence would provide the effective oversight and strategic direction needed for the next phase of the company\u2019s journey. He anticipated a period of strong growth driven by the strengthened leadership.<\/p>\n<p>Nxumalo added that the appointments came at a critical time for the FinTech sector, where robust governance is essential to navigate regulatory demands and technological challenges.
