We arrived as graduates looking for experience, but we are leaving with practical skills, stronger self-belief and a clearer sense of our future whether in the workplace or as entrepreneurs, \u201d says Celiwe Mabundza the leader of the pack.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>While the Lidlelantfongeni internship exposed graduates to technical work and entrepreneurship opportunities, many of the interns say the most important lessons were personal.<\/p>\n<p>Sinenkosi Msomi, who worked in Customer Service, said he quickly discovered that the organisation\u2019s member-first culture was more than a slogan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven as an intern, I was encouraged to speak up. The team made sure I had the confidence and the skills to handle queries professionally. I was treated like family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Khanyakwezwe Dlamini, who also worked in Customer Service, said the internship helped both personally and professionally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe experience taught me how to communicate with people, work under pressure and believe in myself.,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201d Since Lidlelantfongeni is big on feedback, my recommendation would be integrating the Glacier Reloaded System and the Portal so that employers can have seamless access to member information (work history).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For Colani Matsenjwa in IT Support, the internship showed him that young people can add value when they are trusted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy ideas were taken seriously. I learned that confidence comes from being given responsibility and support at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That support was provided by supervisors and mentors across the organisation.<\/p>\n<p>ENPF CEO Futhi Tembe said this was deliberate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese young people were not brought here to observe from the sidelines.
