Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>On behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini, the Central Bank of Eswatini has announced the issuance Government Bonds.<\/b><\/p>\n

The launch of the government bonds was to the sum of E200 000 000 and are as follows:<\/p>\n

*SG144 Maturing 31 March 2029 \u2013 Coupon 10.00%, E50 000 000<\/p>\n

*SG145 Maturing 31 March 2031 \u2013 Coupon 10.25%, E50 000 000<\/p>\n

*SG146 Maturing 31 March 2033 \u2013 Coupon 10.50%, E50 000 000<\/p>\n

*SG147 Maturing 31 March 2036 \u2013 Coupon 11.00%, E50 000 000<\/p>\n

According to a notice published on Eswatini Stock Exchange, the coupon rates for these bonds are fixed<\/p>\n

10.00%, 10.25%, 10.50% and 11.00%, respectively. The Auction Date was on March 26, 2026 for the<\/p>\n

sum E200 000 000 (Two Hundred Million Emalangeni).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Bonds will be issued using the competitive multiple bid auction model and is open to the public including individuals, corporate and institutional investors,\u201d the notice reads.<\/p>\n

All investors had been advised to apply through the Primary Dealers who are the four local Commercial Banks.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe purpose of the issuance is to develop the secondary market, establish a fair market price which will compensate both the borrower and investors for interest rate risks and to facilitate financial intermediation, whilst also meeting government budgetary requirements,\u201d the notice states.<\/p>\n

The Central Bank of Eswatini therefore invited interested parties to contact their commercial banks for application<\/p>\n

forms and for further details were advised to contact the Financial Markets Department of the Central Bank of<\/p>\n

Eswatini through the following, telephone: (+268) 2408 2294\/2708\/2210\/272.<\/p>\n

According to the notice, the issuer reserves the right to allocate an additional amount of up to 100% of<\/p>\n

the amount on offer on each bond.<\/p>\n

The minimum bid price is E10 000 for individual (non-competitive) bidders and E5 million for Institutional direct bidders<\/p>\n

Redemption dates stand as March 31, 2029 for SG144, March 31, 2031 for SG145, March 31, 2033 for SG146<\/p>\n

and March 31, 2036 for SG147.<\/p>\n
