Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The Ministry of Oil, in Kuwait, has opened discussions with Eswatini on the possibility of business related to the oil industry in the kingdom.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation\u2019s first quarter performance report, consultations have been initiated between the Ministry of Oil and the Eswatini National Petroleum Company.<\/p>\n

\u201cEswatini Embassy in Kuwait had an opportunity to secure an appointment with the Assistant Under Secretary for Technical Affairs in the Ministry of Oil, Khalid Al-Deyain, to discuss about available opportunities for Eswatini businesses relating to the oil industry. At the moment consultations have been initiated between the Ministry of Oil and the Eswatini National Petroleum Company,\u201d states the report.<\/p>\n

Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development<\/b><\/p>\n

The document further states that the Eswatini Embassy in Kuwait had an opportunity to meet with the Director of Disbursement of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Osama Al-Attal, to deliberate on issues pertaining to on-going national projects. During the meeting it was discovered that an on-going project was due to reach its disbursement deadline in a few months. As a result, the Embassy was quick to alert the Ministry of Finance in Eswatini with regard to this issue. The issue was eventually resolved with a one-year extension of the disbursement deadline being given by the Kuwait Fund.<\/p>\n

On another note, it is revealed in the ministry\u2019s first quarter performance report that on the 30th of October 2025, Eswatini Ambassador to Brussels, held a meeting in Warsaw, Poland with Janusz W\u0142adyczak, Chief Executive Officer of the Poland EXIM BANK, and representatives from an International EPCM.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe discussions focused on exploring investment opportunities and potential funding for critical Government infrastructure projects in the Kingdom of Eswatini. Both the Polish EXIM BANK and International EPCM expressed keen interest in partnering with Eswatini to support sustainable development initiatives that align with the country\u2019s national priorities,\u201d reads the report.<\/p>\n

EU Global Gateway<\/b><\/p>\n

It states that the Kingdom of Eswatini continues to promote a stable investment climate and implement reforms aimed at enhancing private sector participation in infrastructure development. These efforts are closely aligned with the principles of the EU Global Gateway, which emphasises sustainable, transparent, and mutually beneficial partnerships. The engagement in Warsaw reflects Eswatini\u2019s commitment to strengthening economic cooperation with Poland and other international partners in support of inclusive growth and resilient infrastructure.<\/p>\n

In addition, on 15 January 2026, the Ambassador to Belgium and the Eswatini delegation held a productive meeting with Shah to discuss potential collaboration in the diamond sector. The engagement focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, with particular emphasis on skills development through the proposed sponsorship of nominated trainees for a diamond grading training programme in Antwerp.<\/p>\n

Shah expressed willingness to support this initiative, reinforcing a shared commitment to capacity building and long-term partnership. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy of the Kingdom of Eswatini is currently finalising the list of nominees, which will be submitted upon completion of internal approval processes, paving the way for continued engagement with the Diamonds benefactor.<\/p>\n
