Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Residents of Siphofaneni and Dvokodvweni constituencies, led by their Members of Parliament, have joined in wishing King Mswati III a happy birthday as the country prepares to celebrate his 58th birthday and 40 years on the throne.<\/b><\/p>\n

The birthday wishes were extended during recent house handover ceremonies conducted by the Deputy Prime Minister\u2019s Office (DPMO), where vulnerable families in the two constituencies received newly built homes.<\/p>\n

Leading the messages were MPs Nomalungelo Simelane, popularly known as LaZwide, and Sifiso Shabalala, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Thulisile Dladla.<\/p>\n

Housing Support Restores Dignity to Families<\/b><\/p>\n

The handovers formed part of ongoing efforts by the DPMO, working with faith-based and development partners, to improve the lives of vulnerable households across the country.<\/p>\n

At Lanjani under Siphofaneni Inkhundla, Matisa Zwane, who lives with a disability, received a two-room house, lavatory, water tank, and fenced backyard garden. Zwane had been living with his wife, five children, and one grandchild in a one-room stick-and-mud dwelling.<\/p>\n

The new house is expected to provide safer and more dignified living conditions for the family, while the garden will assist with household food sustainability.<\/p>\n

At Spoteleni, also under Siphofaneni Inkhundla, Nkhosini Motsa (58), who lives with epilepsy and multiple disabilities, received a two-room house and lavatory. He resides with two children and one grandchild.<\/p>\n

Support Extended Across Other Constituencies<\/b><\/p>\n

At Malindza in Dvokodvweni Inkhundla, Busisiwe Sifiso Simelane (56), who lives with her children, grandchildren, and a disabled brother-in-law, received a two-room house and lavatory.<\/p>\n

In Lugongolweni Inkhundla, further assistance was extended to elderly residents. At Sitsasaweni, Assa Rebecca Sithole (84), who lives with her grandchild Mzwandile, an orphan, received a two-room house. The family survives on the elderly grant.<\/p>\n

The Deputy Prime Minister also pledged school uniforms for the child, while local MP Joseph Souza committed to providing beds, blankets, curtains, and electricity through the Redi Box programme.<\/p>\n

At Luvumaneni, Gogo Gcinaphi Maziya, who lives with seven grandchildren and also survives on the elderly grant, received a two-room house and lavatory.<\/p>\n

Church Partnership Praised<\/b><\/p>\n

The housing initiative has been supported through collaboration between the DPMO, the Catholic Church, Caritas, and Jose\u0301 Luis Ponce de Leo\u0301n.<\/p>\n

Government acknowledged the contribution of the church and its partners in helping provide decent housing to vulnerable emaSwati, regardless of religious affiliation.<\/p>\n

Officials said the partnership continues to restore dignity, safety, and hope to families in need, while supporting the national vision of improved welfare and social upliftment.<\/p>\n

Birthday Wishes Mark Royal Celebrations<\/b><\/p>\n

Community leaders said the house handovers were a fitting way to honour the King\u2019s birthday and four decades of leadership, as they directly improved the lives of citizens.<\/p>\n

Across the constituencies, residents conveyed wishes for the King\u2019s good health, long life, and continued leadership, while expressing gratitude for initiatives aimed at uplifting communities.<\/p>\n
