Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>MTN Chief Executive Officer Wandile Mtshali has commended local artists for producing music of international standards.<\/b><\/p>\n

Mtshali spoke at the iPraise official launch held at Happy Valley Hotel yesterday. The gospel show will be held on October 1 at the Mavuso Trade Centre. He said MTN was a great supporter of the music industry in Eswatini and its potential to grow and flourish.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe gospel industry has made a meaningful contribution to the social fabric of our country in many ways over the past decades. It has added to our country\u2019s international acclaim due to the high standard of music produced by artists.<\/p>\n

Giving our support to the gospel music community during these challenging times is important to us as MTN,\u201d he said. The third edition of the show has again given gospel music enthusiasts an opportunity to nominate who they would like to see perform.<\/p>\n

Mtshali further encouraged members of the public to vote for their favourite artists.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe lineup lies in the hands of our valued customers whom we would like to see participate by voting via SMS or for free on Ayoba, one of our fastest growing social media platforms. Nominated artists will also get an opportunity to share in the total voting revenue from public participation,\u201d Mtshali said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, anyone can vote for the Top 10 list for free on Ayoba by using voting code 78886161 or sending an SMS to 7768, at a 50 cents charge. From this list of 10, the public will also get the opportunity to select the top five to perform at the iPraise concert.<\/p>\n

This was announced by Destiny Music Director Tom Lin.<\/p>\n

From July 26 to August 5, nominations will be open on Ayoba at no charge and via SMS at a cost of E1.<\/p>\n

Only one vote per artist per day is allowed on Ayoba and all votes on the platform are worth twice the value of an SMS vote. Any gospel artist from Eswatini can be nominated to perform at MTN iPraise.<\/p>\n

This was disclosed by Project Manager of MTN iPraise Tammy Dlamini who also shared that although they had announced part of the line-up, it was also important for them to allow the public to vote for artists they wanted to see perform alongside the current acts.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know that the gospel talent in our country is impressive and we want to make sure that we give our communities an opportunity to build the festival line-up with us.<\/p>\n

Presale tickets will cost E300 for general and E450 for golden circle,\u201d said Dlamini.<\/p>\n

He added that general tickets would cost E350 at the gate while the cost of the golden circle would remain the same. Tickets can be bought online at mojaticket.com, at all MTN outlets nationwide, and via MTN Momo. Festival goers from outside the country can also access tickets through the online platform provided.\u201d<\/p>\n

The show will see the likes of Nigerian gospel singer Sinach, popularly known for her hit song ‘Way Maker’.<\/p>\n
