Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>\u201cTHERE is an open call for directorship for Mr Eswatini.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

This was announced by Eswatini National Arts and Culture (ENCAC) CEO Stanley Dlamini, yesterday morning.<\/p>\n

Dlamini made the call after he was questioned about the pageant.<\/p>\n

Questions arose after this newspaper published a story on the Miss Eswatini pageant where they are currently looking for applicants, leaving the unanswered question about Mr Eswatini. Dlamini said ENCAC had not received any applications from directors. \u201cWe usually have corporate-driven directors that apply and then state what their plan is.<\/p>\n

We have, however, not received any application yet,\u201d said Dlamini. He said this role was open to anyone, male or female. According to Dlamini, an application letter, supported by an action plan and presentation on how they would groom Mr Eswatini are the necessary requirements. He said the applications can be submitted via email to ceo@ncac.org.sz.<\/p>\n

Importance<\/p>\n

Stating the importance of having Mr Eswatini, Dlamini said this candidate should be a brand for corporate institutions which was needed in disseminating male-driven agenda issues in the country, becoming an instant fambassador. \u201cMr Eswatini is needed to relate both gender-related issues for non-governmental organisations (NGOs), who would want to end gender-based violence (GBV).<\/p>\n

Mr Eswatini becomes powerful in speaking for young males and males in general,\u201d said the CEO. He further said Mr Eswatini was also needed to lead in the aspect of cultural programmes. He said the culture in the country was gender-based and no one would allow for women to call upon males inviting them to Lusekwane.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is important that we have a Mr Eswatini to balance out gender programmes in the country,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The last reigning Mr Eswatini was Rodney Lansberg, who was crowned in June 2018 along with his princes Wandile Dlamini and Wandile Zishwili. The last pageant was organised by a passionate individual and socialite Linda Chester with the help of ENCAC and many other sponsors.<\/p>\n
