Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Ethiopia has been elected to Intergovernmental Committee of Intangible Cultural Heritage at UNESCO, according to Ethiopian Embassy in Paris.

The election was took place during the 9th session of the General Assembly of States Parties to the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage being held from 5 to 7 July 2022.

Ethiopia is very proud for being elected to Intergovernmental Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage.

As one of the representatives of Africa, Ethiopia will work for a more balanced and truly representative list of inscribed intangible heritage, reflecting the beauty and diversity of our world.

Preservation of intangible cultural heritage contributes to sustainable development.
