Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Pakistan’s comedian Asif Muhammad has responded to President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Twitter post in which he suggested that the Pakistan cricket team lost to Zimbabwe because the Asian country sent the wrong Mr Bean to Zimbabwe years ago.

Muhammad, a replica of Mr Bean had travelled to Zimbabwe in 2016 posing as the actual Mr Bean, who actor Rowan Atkinson originally plays.

Congratulations to the Chevrons on making it into the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup! Thank you for raising the Zimbabwean flag high!

What a win for Zimbabwe! Congratulations to the Chevrons. Next time, send the real Mr Bean…#PakvsZim

In response, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said:

We may not have the real Mr Bean, but we have real cricketing spirit .. and we Pakistanis have a funny habit of bouncing back 🙂 Mr President: Congratulations. Your team played really well today.

Pakistan Mr Bean responded to the two tweets:

I am a duplicate but if the Zimbabwe President and Pakistan PM can talk about me wishing each other after Zimbabwe’s win, my motive of making the world laugh is fulfilled.

Pakistan’s World Cup hopes suffered further damage with a one-run defeat by Zimbabwe in Perth, Australia.

An inspired performance from the Zimbabwean bowlers ensured Pakistan finished on 129-8, chasing 131 to win.

It was Zimbabwe’s first-ever win outside the first round of a men’s T20 World Cup.

Needing three to win from the final ball, Shaheen Afridi could only manage a single and was run out by wicketkeeper Regis Chakabva while trying to come back for a second run which would have secured a tie.
