Africa-Press – Ethiopia. The Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority (ECTA) announced today that coffee quality inspection and certification centers which shorten the export supply chain, reduce transportation cost, and facilitate quality and standard assessment will be inaugurated soon.
Authority Deputy Director-General, Shafi Umer said ECTA will inaugurate the centers in Jimma and Hawassa on April 6 and 11 respectively.
With the opening of the centers, Ethiopian coffee can be exported directly from the coffee quality inspection and certification centers.
According to Shafi, there is also a plan to add a center in Oromia region.
