Africa-Press – Ethiopia. South Korea’s Chuncheon and Addis Ababa cities have marked their 20th anniversary of sisterhood by reaffirming their commitment to further strengthen the cooperation of the two cities.
South Korea’s Chuncheon City Mayor Yook Dong Han and his delegation are in Addis Ababa for an official working visit and mark the 20th anniversary of the two cities.
Together with the South Korea’s Chuncheon City Mayor Yook Dong Han, his administration, and young diplomat representatives, we marked the 20th anniversary of the sisterhood between our two cities, Mayor of Addis Ababa, Adanech Abiebie said.
Being one of Addis Ababa’s 24 sister cities, Chuncheon city has an enhanced relationship with Addis Ababa for the past 20 years, she added.
During this ceremony, Addis Ababa Mayor stated “we reaffirmed our dedication to deepening our relationship with Chuncheon city and prepare for future cooperation,”
In addition to bolstering Addis Ababa’s international ties, our administration is working to display its completed mega projects and prepare itself to engage in massive projects in the future, Adanech said.
South Korea’s Chuncheon City Mayor Yook Dong Han and his delegation visited various development activities including mega projects in Addis Ababa. Chuncheon City has also donated 2,000 books to Addis Ababa’s Abrehot Library.
It has been stated that the two cities, which are celebrating their 20th anniversary of sisterhood, are working to strengthen their relationship in the fields of cultural exchange, people-to-people relations, education and technology transfer.
