Africa-Press – Ethiopia. UNESCO International Bureau of Education (UNESCO-IBE) Board President, Svein Osttveit has expressed readiness of the IBE to assist Ministry of Education in its endeavors of reforming the curriculum and improving the educational system.
Education Minister and UNESCO National Commission President, Professor Berhanu Nega conferred with Osttveit on the sidelines of the 42nd session of the General Conference of UNESCO in Paris.
During the meeting, Professor Berhanu shared the actions undertaken by the Ministry of Education in relation to reforming the educational structure in general, and the curriculum review in particular.
According to Ministry of Education, he also underlined the country’s demand for international expertise in the areas under consideration.
UNESCO-IBE President Svein Osttveit applauded the commitment of Ministry of Education in restructuring the educational system.
He also expressed the readiness of his office in assisting the ministry in its endeavors of reforming the curriculum and improving the educational system.
