Ethiopia is One of South Korea’s Largest Priority Partner Countries, KOICA President Says

Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Demeke Mekonnen, held a discussion with Chang Wonsam, President of the South Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), in his office today

In the discussion that focused on existing historical and bilateral relations between Ethiopia and the Republic of South Korea, Demeke noted the ever-growing relations between the two countries and called for the development of bilateral relations in various fields.

Demeke appreciated the Korean experience on sustainable development, and he indicated that Ethiopia is keen on learning from the Korean experience.

On his side, Chang Won Sam said that Ethiopia is one of the Korean Government’s largest priority partner countries. He said KOICA is currently implementing 18 projects and three training programs.

Chang Wonsam also indicated that his country will give priority to its historical relations with Ethiopia for further cooperation in areas of sustainable development as well as in international forums.
