Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Ethiopian Diplomats Association, which includes former and veteran ambassadors, diplomats, and serving professionals of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is established .
During the formation of the association, Foreign Affairs State Minister Mesganu Arga expressed the importance of establishing an association that brings together veteran diplomats and current generation of experts who have protected the national interest and honor of their country.
The association will contribute to the foreign service by researching, showing policy directions, and training young people to transfer knowledge, he said.
Veteran diplomats who attended the General Assembly of the association said that the formation of such professional association would allow the development of diplomatic skills and wisdom and the strengthening of social ties between professionals.
It has also been stated that the establishment of the Ethiopian Diplomats Association will enable professional contribution in an organized manner and protect the national interests of the country.
The General Assembly of the Ethiopian Diplomats Association was concluded by electing its leaders, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
