Africa-Press – Ethiopia. High ranking Saudi Arabian investment and trade delegation consisting of 79 investors and headed by the President of the Federation of Chamber of Commerce of Saudi Arabia is due to arrive in Addis Ababa tonight for working visit in Ethiopia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Nebiyu Tedla disclosed that the visit aims at further strengthening the economic ties between the two countries.
The delegation will arrive in Addis Ababa tonight and is expected to visit strategically important manufacturing sites during its three-day stay in Ethiopia.
Ethio-Saudi Arabia Business Forum focusing on the favourable investment climate and trade opportunities available in Ethiopia will also be conducted as part of the visit.
The relevant government stakeholders have finalized preparation to enable the delegation explore the opportunities in agriculture, mining, tourism, energy, transport, logistics and other key economic spheres.
A Memorandum of Understanding is also expected to be signed between the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations and its Saudi Arabian counterpart.
Recall that Ethiopia’s Foreign Minister, Ambassador Taye Atske-Selassie, and his Saudi Arabian counterpart, Faisal bins Farhan Al-Saud, discussed ways to deepen the long-standing bilateral relationship between their nations on May, 24/2024.
On the occasion, the two foreign ministers expressed a mutual desire to strengthen not only diplomatic ties, but also economic and people-to-people connections between Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia.
