Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Addis Ababa March 10/2021 (ENA) COVID-19 vaccination will be officially launched in Ethiopia on March 13, 2021, according to Ministry of Health.
The ministry added that COVID-19 vaccination will begin in all the regions and city administrations in the presence of senior federal and regional officials.
Ministry of Health and regional health bureaus have been making extensive preparations, including training, distribution and identification of those who should be prioritized, it was learned.
Ethiopia had received 2.2 million doses of first round COVID-19 vaccine from the COVAX facility, which will be provided to prioritized population groups such as health professionals and workers,elders and those who have chronic illnesses.
