Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said in his remark at the celebration of 19th Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Day in Arba Minch city today that “Ethiopia is like a library.”

The 19th Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Day is being celebrated in Arba Minch city of Southern Ethiopia Regional State.

This year’s event is being celebrated under the theme “National Consensus for Multinational Unity,” in the presence of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, other high ranking government officials, representatives of the various nations and nationalities of Ethiopia as well as invited guests.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Abiy described Ethiopia a big library.

“To gain a comprehensive understanding of Ethiopia, it is essential to explore and learn about the diverse nations and nationalities within the country, akin to the way utilizing multiple books in a library enriches one’s knowledge,” the premier stated.

As Ethiopia is a country bestowed with unlimited potential of wealth and wisdom, he underscored, urging for a strong collaboration.

The premier also emphasized the need to enrich Ethiopia by returning our hearts to peace and love with the idea of ​​unity and togetherness.

Speaker of the House of Federation Agegnehu Teshager for his part said that The House is working to establish a healthy federal system in Ethiopia.

The celebration of this event lays the foundation for justice, democracy, and constitutionalism, the Speaker added.

He further stated that after the reform, works have been carried out aimed at enhancing unity while by also ensuring the equality of all national and nationalities of the country.
