Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Addis Ababa March 12/2021 (ENA) The Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company has signed an agreement to develop 500 megawatt solar energy in Ethiopia.
Finance Minister Ahmed Shide and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company CEO Muhammad Ismael Jemal Al-Ramif signed the agreement today in the presence of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
The company will carry out the task in partnership with the Government of Ethiopia.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on the occasion said Ethiopia owes untapped renewable energy resources and the company’s decision to engage in the energy sector is appropriate.
The Premier expressed government’s unwavering commitment to deliver the necessary support to realize he project.
The company based in Abu Dhabi is engaged in the development of renewable energy, sustainable procurement, and supply chain consultancy services.
