Africa-Press – Ethiopia. The International Forum of Africa–Russia Journalists was held in Addis Ababa, under the theme “The Way of Friendship and Cooperation.”

The event, that brought together media professionals from across Africa and Russia, was organized by the Gorchakov Fund for Public Diplomacy in Moscow and ALPHA Dialogue, a professional education center based in Saint Petersburg.

Journalists from several African countries, including Ethiopia, participated alongside Russian delegates to explore the evolving media landscape and discuss future collaboration between the two regions.

Alexander Novikov, Project Manager at the Gorchakov Fund, emphasized that the forum is not only a platform to talk about friendship but also an opportunity to address both opportunities and challenges in the Russia-Africa relationship.

He highlighted the importance of strengthening ties through direct, personal contacts.

The manager also noted the forum’s role in fostering dialogue and mutual understanding.

The two-day event aims to further strengthen Russia–Africa relations and address various issues, including media cooperation and the broader prospects for diplomatic and professional partnerships.
