n style=”color: #ff6600;”>Africa-Press – Ethiopia. March 30/2021/ENA/ Dashen Brewery S.C has today donated 25 million Birr for the ‘Dine for Ethiopia’ project.
The project was officially launched by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed last year August with a view to mobilize 3 billion Birr to develop three tourist attraction projects located in Gorgora, Wonchi and Koysha in Amhara, Oromia and SNNP regions, respectively.
Briefing journalists today, Dashen Brewery S.C Communication Director, Abrham Zerihun said the company has donated 25 million Birr to support ‘Dine for Ethiopia’ as the projects are expected to play critical role in job creation, tourism development and image building of the country.
The contribution is part of the company’s social responsibility, he noted.
According to him, the company has so far extended over 600 million Birr as part of its social responsibility activities.
Enhancing the livelihoods of farmers, job creation projects, construction of schools, health centers, cultural and sports centers are among the various development activities that the company has been engaged, he said.
The company has affirmed that it will continue its support to the various development activities in the country.
Gorgora, Wonchi and Koysha tourist attraction projects are expected to create jobs, attract tourists and encourage public private partnership supported national development.
The Dine for Ethiopia initiative has so far managed to raise more than 4.2 billion birr for the construction three projects, exceeding the targeted 3 billion Birr.
