Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has invited defender Valentine Ozornwafor to the team for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone and Mauritius.<\/p>\n

Ozornwafor\u2019s invitation for the qualifiers was confirmed by his Belgian Pro League outfit, Sporting Charleroi.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur African internationals will play several qualifying matches for the next African Cup of Nations,\u201d reads a statement on the club\u2019s official website.<\/p>\n

\u201cValentine Ozornwafor, selected with Nigeria, will face Sierra Leone before traveling to Mauritius.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old debuted with the Super Eagles in a friendly 1-0 loss to the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in June 2021.<\/p>\n

The former Enyimba defender has also represented Nigeria at the U-20 level. He featured at the 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations and the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup.<\/p>\n

Ozornwafor has also played for the Nigeria U-23 team in the past.<\/p>\n
