Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonnen has reaffirmed Ethiopia\u2019s commitment to peacefully solve the conflict in the north.<\/p>\n

The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister met today with Katja Keul, Minister of State at the Ministry of the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany.<\/p>\n

During the occasion, the two sides pledged to scale up the bilateral relationship between Ethiopia and Germany.<\/p>\n

The two countries need to cooperate on issues related to energy, climate change, peace, and security, according to the deputy prime minister.<\/p>\n

He stated that Ethiopia is dedicated to finding a peaceful solution to the conflict in the north. The ICHREE\u2019s report is politically motivated and biased, Demeke added.<\/p>\n

Katja Keul for her part said Germany supports the peace process to end the conflict in the northern part of the country.<\/p>\n
