Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Demeke Mekonnen met today with UN Under-Secretary-General and Special Envoy to the Horn of Africa, Hanna Tetteh<\/p>\n

The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister briefed the Special Envoy about the Ethiopian Government\u2019s encouraging efforts to implement the Pretoria Peace Agreement.<\/p>\n


\nThe Special Envoy, for her part, appreciated the efforts and commitment made by the Government of Ethiopia in carrying out confidence-building measures in the Tigray region.<\/p>\n

Following their discussion on current critical issues, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to working together with other partners for regional peace and security.<\/p>\n
