Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>Ethiopia and Slovenia have agreed to further bolster bilateral relationship in multifaceted spheres.<\/p>\n

A high-level delegation led by Slovenia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Tanja Fajon is in Ethiopia for a three day official working visit.<\/p>\n

The main purpose of the visit is to strengthen relations between the two countries, also in the light of the imminent opening of the Slovenian Embassy in Addis Ababa.<\/p>\n

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Ethiopia, Demeke Mekonnen has today conferred with his Slovenian counterpart Tanja Fajon.<\/p>\n

The two officials have discussed on ways to bolster bilateral ties on multifaceted spheres and other international issues of mutual concern.<\/p>\n

The two Deputy Prime Ministers have agreed to diversify and take the relations to a new height.<\/p>\n

Demeke briefed his Slovenian counterpart about the ongoing implementation of the Pretoria Peace Agreement.<\/p>\n

Briefing media spokesperson of the ministry of Foreign Affairs Meles Alem said the two sides have exchanged views on ranges of further consolidating bilateral ties and cooperating on the international issues.<\/p>\n

Meles stated that Demeke told his Slovenia counterpart about Ethiopia\u2019s commitment to bring sustainable peace and stability in the country.<\/p>\n

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Tanja Fajon on her part expressed the commitment of her government to support all the implementation and rebuilding efforts, commending the implementation of the Peace Agreement.<\/p>\n

Slovenia has a high reputation in the world for beekeeping; she noted that her country can offer beekeeping know-how and technology to Ethiopia.<\/p>\n

The two sides also agreed to cooperate in areas of agriculture, health, water among other areas, according to the spokesperson.<\/p>\n

Moreover, she elaborated that Slovenia is prepared to open an Embassy in Addis Ababa.<\/p>\n

Fajon has also met with Minister of Health, Lia Tadesse and Minister for Trade and Regional Integration, Gebremeskel Challa and discussed on ways to strengthening cooperation in the respective sectors.<\/p>\n
