Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held discussions with leaders of various institutions and countries on the sidelines of the New International Financial Agreement Summit in Paris.<\/p>\n

During his stay in Paris, the premier had discussion with Ajay Bangan, the new President of the World Bank.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the prime minster has called on the Bank to strengthen its response to new challenges such as climate change, pandemic, and conflicts.<\/p>\n

Similarly, in the discussion he had with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, he asked that the organization respond to climate change problems in particular.<\/p>\n

In his speech to the summit, Prime Minister Abiy stressed that reforms should be made in the international financial institutions to meet the needs of African countries.<\/p>\n

Following the conclusion of the New International Financial Agreement Summit in Paris, French President Emmanuel Macron bid farewell to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.<\/p>\n
