Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s visit to Egypt has opened new horizons to the diplomatic and political relations between Egypt and Ethiopia as well as the Nile Basin countries, Water and Energy Minister Advisor Muhammad al-Arousi said.<\/p>\n

In an exclusive interview with ENA, the advisor said that African leaders understand that the current situation in Africa requires neighboring countries to integrate and cooperate.<\/p>\n

To achieve this, countries must bridge political differences and unite in addressing African crises, he noted.<\/p>\n

In this respect, Muhammad al-Arousi stated that the growing rapprochement between the two countries is encouraging and approved by many.<\/p>\n

According to him, the agreement reached between Prime Minister Abiy and President El-Sissi is welcomed at regional and international levels.<\/p>\n

With regard to overcoming the stalemate between Ethiopia and Egypt on the issue of the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, the advisor expressed his hope that the negotiations will be conducted based on sincere desires and decision.<\/p>\n

The advisor explained that the rapprochement between Ethiopia and Egypt was approved by many countries which wanted good for Ethiopia and the Nile Basin countries.<\/p>\n
