Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>Medemer (Synergy) a domestic concept has the potential to maintain national consensus and unity within diversity, panelists emphasized.<\/p>\n

Medemer, an Amharic word to signify synergy, is a new framework of thought being promoted by Ethiopia\u2019s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed with a view to expediting transformation in all aspects of the country including politics, social, and economic development.<\/p>\n

Deputy House Speaker of the House of Peoples Representatives, Lomi Bedo and various top federal government officials, representatives of political parties, and scholars are attending the panel discussion.<\/p>\n

Opening the panel discussion, Deputy House Speaker of the House of Peoples Representatives Lomi Bedo commended ENA\u2019s effort for its role towards strengthening national consensus and image building. ENA truly deserves recognition, she said.<\/p>\n

Ethiopians have a lot to offer to the world, she said, adding that the Green Legacy Initiated by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed is a testimony to the wide range domestic treasures that the country possesses.<\/p>\n

According to Lomi, such discussions should be organized frequently in order to shade light on the opportunities and challenges of Medemer (Synergy) as well as indicate possible solutions.<\/p>\n

Public and International Relations Minister of the Democracy Building Coordination Center at the office of the Prime Minister, Addisu Arega on his part said that Medemer is a domestic concept that resolves the different challenges through understanding amongst varied positions and ideas.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately Ethiopia is a country with people which have different ideas, he said, and emphasized that Medemer avoids extremism of ideas and brings altogether through bridging the gaps.<\/p>\n

Medemer depicts the unity of Ethiopians within the diversity of language, culture, religion, Addisu stated, adding that it contributes the building bricks to the Ethiopia we want.<\/p>\n

It is to be recalled that Prime Minister Abiy has authored three different books on the concept of Medemer.<\/p>\n

The first and second series of his books are: Philosophy and Paradigm of Medemer published in 2019 and the Principles and Practices of Medemer written two years later. The latest series, Generation Medemer, was published recently with focus on principles and personalities of Medemer.<\/p>\n
