Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>A monument erected in memory of Blatten Geta Heruy Welde Selassie, a prominent Ethiopian writer and member of Ethiopia’s first delegation to the League of Nations, was inaugurated at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Addis Ababa today.<\/p>\n

Blatten Geta Heruy Welde Selassie is one of the pioneers of Ethiopian literature who has written various books in Amharic and served as Ethiopian foreign minister.<\/p>\n

He was also a judge of the Special Court, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n

The author and minister was a member of Ethiopia’s first delegation to the League of Nations.<\/p>\n

The inauguration of the monument was attended by representatives of different government offices, Ethiopian historians, and authors.<\/p>\n
