Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>The House of People’s Representatives has approved today agreements signed between Ethiopia and South Korea as well as Ethiopia and India to enable travelers holding diplomatic and service passports without visa.<\/p>\n

The House approved the agreements that mark a significant step towards enhancing diplomatic relations and easing travels between Ethiopia, South Korea, and India.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, Chief Whip Tesfaye Beljige highlighted the importance of the agreements, emphasizing that the agreements would bolster the friendship and cooperation between Ethiopia and South Korea as well as Ethiopia and India.<\/p>\n

According to him, the agreement with South Korea would streamline travel procedures for citizens of both countries holding diplomatic or service passports, making their work-related travels convenient.<\/p>\n

By eliminating visa prerequisites and reducing processing time, the agreement aims to simplify travel arrangements, he added.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Chief Whip underscored that the agreement with India would contribute to further strengthen bilateral relations and promote closer ties between the two nations.<\/p>\n

Acknowledging the significance of the agreements, the House members expressed their support, emphasizing the potential for further enhancement of Ethiopia’s relations with both countries.<\/p>\n

House Speaker Tagesse Chafo confirmed that the agreement with South Korea would be issued as Proclamation No. 1305\/2016, and the agreement with India as Proclamation No. 1306\/2016.<\/p>\n

By facilitating visa-free travel for citizens holding diplomatic and service passports, these agreements pave the way for increased bilateral cooperation, smooth diplomatic exchanges, and strengthened ties between Ethiopia, South Korea, and India.<\/p>\n
