Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>Prosperity Party Executive Committee Member and Board Chairman of Ethiopian News Agency, Bikila Hurisa, underscored today that a grand narration based on co-existence is crucial in ensuring shared growth and the existence of Ethiopians.<\/p>\n

A panel discussion organized by the Ethiopian News Agency (ENA), in collaboration with Central Ethiopia Regional State, was held in Hossana town.<\/p>\n

The panel discussion focused on Medemer thought.<\/p>\n

Prosperity Party Executive Committee Member, Bikila Hurisa stressed in his presentation under the title \u201cCentral Ethiopia Region: Bondage of Peoples and Grand Narration\u201d that co-existence is crucial in ensuring shared growth and the existence of Ethiopians.<\/p>\n

Realizing that brotherhood and multinational unity are the foundations of its existence instead of division, Ethiopia has undertaken works that have brought about concrete results during the past five years, he added.<\/p>\n

According to him, the reform has also created conducive environment that enables regions to adequately exploit their untapped resources.<\/p>\n

In this respect, the Central Ethiopia Region has to create a narrative that enables it to utilize potential resource through developing the capacity of the people and brotherhood.<\/p>\n

Presenting his discussion paper, Political and Capacity Building Sector Head at the Prosperity Party Headquarters, Zadig Abrha said that the Medemer thought has created huge capabilities in strengthening democracy and a strong nation.<\/p>\n

The head pointed out that the philosophy of Medemer is a thought developed based on indigenous knowledge that freed the nation from being hostage to imported ideology.<\/p>\n

Previous governments in Ethiopia failed to sustain the greatness of the country because they opted to implement imported ideologies instead of trying to explore and properly utilize the abundant natural resources of the country to the nation-state building efforts, Zadig stated.<\/p>\n

However, Medemer focuses on exploring what the country is endowed with and using those for nation-state building and strengthening unity.<\/p>\n

Medemer has a potent ability and crucial contribution in creating co-existence among peoples and mobilizing them to expedite nation-state building endeavor, which is instrumental in realizing social development and strong national unity, Zadig underscored.<\/p>\n

This provides huge contribution for consolidating social progress and national unity.<\/p>\n

Various government officials drawn from federal and regional states, scholars, and representatives of different communities participated in the panel discussion.<\/p>\n
