Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>The government will work to ensure the social economic benefits of the elderly and to solve the problems they face, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonnen said.<\/p>\n

He made the remark while visiting Mekedonia sanctuary of the elderly, the poor, the sick, the weak and the friendless.<\/p>\n

The Elderly Day was marked for the 33rd time internationally and for 32nd time in Ethiopia today.<\/p>\n

The day is observed under the theme, “Respecting the rights of the elderly, crossing generations”.<\/p>\n

The deputy premier finally called on this generation to fulfill their national responsibility by taking care of the elderly, who are indebted to the country, and take them as a role model of good personality.<\/p>\n
