Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>Ministry of Planning and Development held discussion with various agencies of the United Nations in Ethiopia on the country\u2019s statistics development program.<\/p>\n

Ethiopia\u2019s newly prepared statistics development program was tabled for discussion, it was indicated.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, State Minister of Planning and Development Dr. Nemera Gebeyehu said the government of Ethiopia has been working to strengthen the country\u2019s statistics development as it recognizes the importance of information and statistics for national development.<\/p>\n

The representatives of UN agencies for their part commended the government of Ethiopia for giving high emphasis to the development of statistics.<\/p>\n

They also pledged strong support to the effective implementation of the country\u2019s statistics development program.<\/p>\n
