Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>On the sidelines of COP28, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed received at the Ethiopian Green Legacy pavilion the President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel.<\/p>\n

The United Nation\u2019s annual climate summit (COP28) is under way in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the presence of more than 60,000 participants including leaders of countries in the world.<\/p>\n

At conference, Ethiopia is featuring its Green Legacy related development initiatives at the Ethiopia Pavilion in the Green Zone.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed received the President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, at the pavilion today.<\/p>\n

The two leaders discussed global climate change commitments, bilateral cooperation and national development endeavors.<\/p>\n

\u201cI met with Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel earlier today at the Ethiopia COP28 Green Legacy pavilion where we discussed cooperation in the tourism and agriculture sectors,\u201d Abiy said on Social Media.<\/p>\n

COP28 is believed to be a turning point, where countries not only agree \u2018WHAT\u2019 stronger climate actions will be taken, but show \u2018HOW\u2019 to deliver them, according to the UN.<\/p>\n

Ethiopia is expected to share its experience at this global conference regarding the efforts being underway to fight against the impacts of climate change through its green legacy initiative.<\/p>\n
