Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed\u2019s engagements in Austria and Czech Republic & participation at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai, UAE last week were successful, according to the Press Secretariat of the Prime Minister’s Office.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed conducted visits in Austria and Czech Republic as well as in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) to participate at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP28).<\/p>\n

The Press Secretariat Head, Billene Seyoum, gave briefings today about the visits Prime Minister Abiy had paid to Vienna, Czech Republic and UAE last week.<\/p>\n

During his visit to Czech Republic discussions were held on ways of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the areas of tourism, agriculture, capacity building in defense and other vital sectors, Billene said.<\/p>\n

The Press Secretariat head stated that Ethiopia\u2019s Green Legacy Pavilion at COP28 in Dubai is being visited by leaders of various countries and participants of the conference.<\/p>\n

In his speech delivered at the COP28, the premier called for a collective global action to step up a climate agenda.<\/p>\n

The PM also told the participants that Ethiopia\u2019s Green Legacy Initiative has been considered by various countries as an exemplary model.<\/p>\n

Billene recalled that Prime Minister Abiy held bilateral discussions with leaders of several countries during his stay in Dubai.<\/p>\n
