Africa-Press – Ethiopia. <\/strong><\/span>Global culinary icon, Marcus Samuelsson has called up on all Ethiopians abroad to share their diverse expertise to the national development of their country.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed inaugurated the Chebera Churchura, Elephant Paw Lodge in Dawuro Zone of South West Ethiopia on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The chef has also participated at the inaugural ceremony of the lodge among other dignitaries.<\/p>\n

He called Ethiopians in the diaspora to visit their country, “Come back to Ethiopia; celebrate your country in many different ways.”<\/p>\n

Ethiopia’s vibrant tapestry of flavors, landscapes, and traditions have captivated the heart of this international chef.<\/p>\n

During his visit to the magnificent Chebera Churchura Elephant Paw Lodge, his passion for his homeland ignited afresh, prompting a powerful call to action for both tourists and the Ethiopian diaspora.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs an Ethiopian, I am learning how beautiful Ethiopia is again because this is a place I have never been before. I travelled all over Ethiopia but I have never been here.<\/p>\n

“I can recommend people to come,\u201d he enthused, describing the awe-inspiring natural resources and breathtaking wildlife encounters., pointing out, \u201cthe lodge is amazing; the natural resources are amazing, and the animals.”<\/p>\n

Specifically around tourism, Ethiopia has so much potential and is naturally a beautiful country.<\/p>\n

“We have so many incredible natural resources, and we have different landscapes,\u201d he observed.<\/p>\n

“Once you travel outside the city, you realize the diversity in terms of food, culture, and landscape,” he emphasized, painting a picture of Ethiopia’s potential as a seasonal tourism haven.<\/p>\n

Samuelsson lauded the Ethiopian Diaspora’s efforts in showcasing their rich culture worldwide through restaurants and artistic endeavors.<\/p>\n

However, his vision extends beyond cultural ambassadorship.<\/p>\n

“It’s time for people to come back to Ethiopia,” he said, highlighting initiatives like Marcus Addis – a platform for knowledge exchange between himself and aspiring Ethiopian chefs.<\/p>\n

Ethiopians abroad, regardless of their profession, possess invaluable skills and knowledge that can fuel their homeland’s progress.<\/p>\n

“Whether you work in technology or finance, those are resources Ethiopia needs,” he stated, urging them to share their expertise and contribute to their nation’s growth.<\/p>\n

Samuelsson’s message transcends tourism and professional exchange. It’s a heartfelt invitation to reconnect with one’s roots and celebrate the beauty of Ethiopia in its myriad forms.<\/p>\n

“Come back to Ethiopia; celebrate your country in many different ways,” he underscored.<\/p>\n

Ethiopia is endowed with diverse natural and man-made tourism attractions and the country has given priority to tourism development and promotion as a key sector to achieve its growth plan.<\/p>\n
